26 years of innovation and achievement

1985 Take-off. JIT Koganei S.A, established in Geneva and registered as a Swiss stock company.

1986 Also specializes in Japanese versions of audio-visual material.

1988 Develops semi-automatic Japanese translation and page layout system of auction catalogs for Habsburg, Feldman SA, Geneva.

1989 Japanese version of the movie, "GENEVE", produced by François Reichenbach (1988).

1989 Member of the editorial committee and co-author for the publication of the Japanese-language book, "Living in Geneva" (published by J.E.T.R.O, 1989, 236 pages).

1989 Translator and technical consultant for Charmilles Technologies SA, Geneva. Collaborates in the development of screen display for Japanese texts on CNC machines.

1993 A new venture: integrating translation and page layout enables an error-free Japanese version of a publication in record time. Examples among others: "Patek Philippe Genève" (by Alan Banbery and Martin Huber, 258 pages, 1993); "André Courrèges Special Edition" (l'Officiel de la Couture et de la Mode de Paris, 1993/94). 1994 Launch of "GENEVE", Switzerland's unique monthly in Japanese.

1995 Launch of English-French-Japanese trilingual World-wide Web site, "www.koganei.ch" (which you are visiting now).

Since 1996 Demands in my translation, adaptation, and layout skills from major Swiss watchmaking companies for their product catalogues, brochures, and pressreleases, are growing rapidly. The technical field in which real competence is an essential condition.

2000 Liquidation of the stock company and creation of an individual trade name, YOSHIO KOGANEI, Japanese translator, the current structure of my activities (simple is beautiful ). My integrated service includes now Chinese language (traditional & simplified). Because of the very high potential of Chinese market for Swiss industries (especially for watchmaking industry), the demands in Chinese edition of catalogs, Web sites, and so on, are significantly growing. Of course, my infrastructure and competences are meeting them easily.

2002 My activities in watchimaking industry develop furthermore especially in the fields of catalog, multimedia and world wide web.

2003 My vast and thorough knowledge in watchmaking, graphic design, information technology, internet, and multimedia reserves me a privileged place in newly developping markets, such as computer assited training and interactive websites.

2007 Thanks to the good economic situation in Japan and in Switzerland, the requests with my competences increase more than ever.

2008 Despite the current worldwide recession, my clients opt for quality and security ("F.A.Q."): my activities develop more than ever since the beginning of the year.

2009 It is no secret for anybody. The world is in the middle of a Great Depression. Paradoxically, even during such a crisis my activities prosper. The proof: I am running in full stream ahead and have no time to rest.
